[PETERBOROUGH] In an article distributed by Canadian Business Magazine today, the Peterborough CMA was listed in the top 10 on the “Canada’s Best Places to Live” list. The list, which consists of 154 Canadian cities, is compiled based on data gathered in the areas of prosperity, affordable housing, weather and air quality and lifestyle.
“We are very pleased to have made the top ten on the “Canada’s Best Places to Live” list this year!” stated Andy Mitchell, Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation (GPA EDC), President & CEO. “We plan to utilize this ranking in our marketing efforts to make certain that anyone considering the region for business location, travel, to practice medicine and/or to live knows what we have always known… The Peterborough area is one of the best places to live in this country.”
www.canadianbusiness.com states “Canada's Best Places to Live measures every important aspect of every community in Canada. We've taken weather into account, of course. Jobs and home prices, too. We've also looked at crime and access to health care. In total, we looked at 24 different indicators and rewarded points for each one.”
