The High School Business Plan Challenge is an annual competition offered through the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade (MEDT).  The challenge is administered though Small Business Enterprise Centres across Ontario. All high school students in grades 9 through 12 are eligible to enter a business plan in the competition.  This year 23 business plans were submitted for consideration in the Peterborough region.

The competition is an opportunity for students to use their creativity to form a business idea, research it and write a business plan. Based on geographical location, the winner of each local competition becomes a finalist in northern, eastern, western or central Ontario. This year, Nichole Moher’s plan will be sent to the regional competition for the chance to win the status of Eastern Ontario Regional Champion and additional cash and prizes. The 2009 competition will be held in Peterborough on November 7th. We wish Nichole all the best!
